What is Climb4KidsOttawa?

Climb4KidsOttawa is a local event that was created to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa.

The Event

The Climb4KidsOttawa event will take place June 30, 2012 at Coyote Rock Climbing Gym. There will be fun for the whole family! You can register for the bouldering competition (registration May1st for $25), or just climb for fun (recommeded $5 donation for two climbs), enjoy the BBQ, participate in some of the other activities and best of all, support Ottawa kids! We'll have prizes to be won and lots of food to be eaten. Come out and meet your Ottawa community!

The Campaign

As a Big Brother myself, I realize the importance of the local programs this organization offers. The 2011 Buddy Up Campaign was shy of its goal by $65,000 and I don't believe it was because of a lack of caring from our community. In saying that, I think that by working together, we can make this goal attainable.

The goal is to help Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa raise greater funds and awareness of its mentorship programs. The pinnacle of the campaign is the Climb4kidsOttawa event, being held at Coyote Rock Gym. We hope to raise $65,000 in less than one year leading up to and including the event.

Your donations will go towards helping kids in the Ottawa community through mentoring programs that Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa provide.
I'm very happy about the momentum the campaign is building so far, but it requires the support of the community at large to succeed. Donate and participate!

About me

Picture
Hi! Thanks for visiting the website. My name is Jason Myerson and I have been an active volunteer in the Ottawa community for many years. I'm in my fourth year volunteering with our local chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters and understand the importance of their mentoring programs. I live to travel and meet people. These experiences
have provided me with perspective into many different lives and cultures.
Ottawa is a good place to depart, but a greater place to come home to. I wanted to show my appreciation for this city and its community by getting more involved. Since I started volunteering, I've had the priviledge of meeting some amazing people and come to realize that the benefits of volunteering are not only received by those involved, but those surrounding as well. I strongly believe in Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs and how they support the kids in our community. Help us reach our goal!
